A new website should make customers’ tasks easier. A business serving Marl may need visitors to understand a service, describe a project or prepare for an on-site meeting. Design supports that journey when the offer, content and interaction are planned together.

Relaunch or focused improvement? If the offer and page structure still fit, clearer service descriptions, better mobile use and a reliable contact route may be enough. If the technology, navigation and content are tightly entangled or essential pages are missing, a planned relaunch may be the clearer task. Our web design service helps establish that scope; the Marl page explains our regional connection.

Organize the information first

Decide which services need separate pages and which questions must be answered before an inquiry. Each page should have an understandable purpose, such as explaining, comparing or enabling contact.

Represent the regional connection accurately. A real service area does not require invented offices. Show approved projects and explain the business’s contribution to them.

A short content inventory helps at the enquiry stage: Which three services should visitors find immediately? Which questions about the process and prerequisites recur in first conversations? Which existing pages already bring relevant enquiries? These answers should shape the page structure before a visual style is chosen.

Test complete tasks on a phone

A small screen can reveal issues hidden in a desktop design: navigation covering content, a difficult form or a button leading to the wrong destination. Test complete journeys rather than screenshots alone.

A useful test finds a service, reads the key information, starts an inquiry, corrects an input error and checks the resulting acknowledgement. Keyboard operation, readable contrast and support for reduced motion are part of a usable experience.

Plan for existing URLs

Before a relaunch, record the pages currently available and identify those receiving searches or external links. Retained content should keep its URL where practical. Moved content needs an appropriate redirect. Sending every former page to the home page is not a substitute for a migration plan.

New pages need clear titles, internal links and consistent language relationships. These checks allow design and search requirements to be accepted together.

For example, suppose one existing service page with search demand is split into two clearer offers. Before launch, decide which new destination the old URL should redirect to, which internal links must change and whether the new content still answers the earlier demand. Only then is the visual design ready for meaningful acceptance.

Agree on life after launch

Identify who maintains copy, images and operating details, and who responds to failures. An automated editorial process may prepare drafts, but it still needs approved information and a publication owner.

A proposal should describe handover, access, maintenance and acceptance as well as design and development. Evaluate a visual idea through the customer task it makes clearer or easier.

The work involved depends mainly on the number of distinct page types, revision of existing content, additional languages, system integrations and handling of old URLs. A useful proposal should identify these components. A flat figure without an agreed scope makes competing proposals difficult to compare.

Our Tess Vegan Cafe website is a documented example of planning a restaurant presence and ordering journey together. It is a web design reference, not evidence of a project in Marl, and it includes no approved revenue or conversion figures.

If you want to improve an existing website, share its URL, your main services, the desired contact route and the problems you already know about. Discuss a website or relaunch project. An initial conversation can establish whether a focused improvement or a rebuild fits the work.
